Wonderful Stay!
We had a wonderful stay at 456 Porpoise Drive on Fripp Island. We have been visiting Fripp Island for 40 years, and this house truly stands apart. It is beautifully appointed, thoughtfully designed, and has all the comforts of home. The location is quiet and relaxing, with beautiful marsh and sunset views and a great house orientation that makes the most of the natural surroundings. Fripp Island itself is such a special place. It has a peaceful, laid-back Lowcountry feel, with beautiful beaches, marsh views, abundant wildlife, and the fun of getting around by golf cart. It offers the perfect balance of relaxation and activity, with beach time, golf, dining, nature, and resort amenities all close by. The home made enjoying the island even easier because the golf cart and amenity cards were provided. Inside, the house feels spacious and high-end, with 12-foot ceilings, glass and sliding doors, a fireplace, a separate office space, and quality construction and finishes throughout. The kitchen was extremely well supplied with high-end pots, pans, and everything we needed, and the wine and beer refrigerator/bar was such a nice touch. The owners have thought of everything: beach towels, condiments, soap, and all the little conveniences that make a stay easy and relaxing. The garage/basement game room, which has been epoxy coated, was a huge highlight, with a pool table, ping pong, and corn hole. We also loved the fire pit, hot tub, outdoor shower, screened-in porch, and multiple outdoor seating areas. The Wi-Fi was amazing, which made it simple to work remotely when needed, and every bedroom having its own TV was a great bonus. We never felt like anything had been forgotten. This is a beautiful, well-equipped, high-end property in a peaceful setting, and it is the perfect place to experience everything that makes Fripp Island so special. After decades of visiting the island, we can confidently say this home is exceptional, and we would absolutely recommend it for a Fripp Island getaway.
