Your unit is stocked with a starter set of essentials like toilet paper and paper towels. Springtide Market & Deli (located at the front of the island near the guard gate) stocks all essentials needed for a longer stay as well as groceries, grab-and-go, liquor, beach accessories, and much more!

Getting to know Fripp Island:
Located 20 miles from Beaufort, South Carolina, Fripp Island is a gated, private island, comprised of about six and a half square miles. The views from Fripp Island are unlike others in the Sea Islands, as Fripp is the most seaward of them all.

We only had 1 plastics garbage bag for the kitchen garbage can and no toilet paper in a bathroom. One of the bathrooms needs the toilet tank handle replaced.

We were not pleased to find that there were no pots or pans to cook. We bought groceries but had no way to cook the food we had. No eggs and pancakes in the morning as we were looking forward to having. We loved the room that we had except not enough seating in the living room. All n all was very nice stay.

We have been coming to Fripp for over 35 years. Always a great time! Usually book through resort, communication was a bit confusing as VRBO asksed me to contact resort when I emailed questions, not a big deal. Layout of house, especially if you have mixed ages, is fantastic. Needs a new stove as we are stay in and cook people. Would stay there again, perfect location on the island.

Spacious!
This house is a spacious, family friendly home. Plenty of space, location is UNBEATABLE. EASY access to the beach, yet was quiet. Everything we could have asked for!

Great View
We have rented this same house for 20 years and the favorite place is the front porch. You can see the ocean from there even though the house is not ocean front.

The property was exactly as described. There were a few glitches; the drains in all of the bathrooms were very slow, In the sinks and in the tubs. The back door in the kitchen did not lock, but the screen door did. The outlets in the bathrooms did not work. One of the blow dryers works very poorly, cuts on and off, and sounds like a jet landing. Other than that, it was a wonderful property. It was very nice. 10 of us could stay there very easily in all of the bedrooms on the main floor. We didn’t have to use the upstairs bedroom. It’s a perfect location across the street from the water. We saw deer, alligators, And lots of birds. Wonderful restaurants on the property. And we spent the day traveling into Beaufort, one of the days. Thank you very much!

Overall property was great!!! Only complaint is that they say house sleeps 29 people which is true if everyone there is a couple and shares the king size beds. If everyone is single then you will be short of sleeping space. It was all guys on my trip so we had to sleep in same bed or make pallets on the floor which some guys did.

Nice, clean, and comfortable for a big group
My family and I have stayed here twice in 2 years now. The house is located right across from the beach which is so nice. It was able to sleep 15 of us comfortably. There are several beds upstairs, but it doesn't have a bathroom which is not convenient at all. So the number of people upstairs have to be limited due to sharing bathrooms downstairs. The home does need to be updated, specifically the bathrooms. The bathrooms were worst last year. I can tell that they cleaned them a lot for this year, but more work needs to be done. There are 2 refrigerators in the house which are extremely convenient. However the one in the kitchen hardly made any ice so we had go out and get our own. They do have towels in the home. However they are super small. Overall the house was nice and clean and was comfortable for our group of 15. Just showers need to be updated a lot and a full bathroom needs to be added upstairs.

Great time for family vacation!
Had a great time for family vacation at home. Had plenty of good fellowship and relaxation. Had fun on rented golf carts from Fripp Excusion. This is the place to rent golf carts for use on the island. Only issues noted is there is no bathroom on in the top level so we had 9 people trying to use 1 bathroom at night. Also micro wave worked speratically. But overall good place to stay. Hope to be able to return next year.
